This throw is made from six layers of cotton muslin, a soft, airy fabric that feels light on the skin but still gives a gentle sense of cover. It is ideal when a heavy blanket is too warm but you still want something over you on the sofa or in bed. The layered weave lets air move through, which makes it comfortable across the seasons. It also packs down small, which makes it easy to take on trips or to the park.
Two sizes are available: 130 x 150 cm, a handy lap and sofa throw, and 150 x 200 cm, which covers more of a bed or a person stretched out on the couch. The cotton has a soft, slightly crinkled texture that looks relaxed and natural draped over furniture. It is also a good extra layer to keep at the end of the bed. Keep one in the living room and one in the bedroom for easy comfort.
Choose white, beige, grayish or greyish-green to suit calm, neutral rooms. Muslin tends to get softer with each wash, so the throw only improves with use. Machine wash on a gentle cycle and air dry or tumble dry on low. It also makes a thoughtful gift for new homes or anyone who runs warm at night.
