LuminaryHome sells lighting, wall decor, textiles and small accents for homes that are not showrooms.

Why we started

Most home decor is photographed in enormous, empty, perfectly lit rooms. Then it arrives at a flat with one awkward window and a radiator where the sideboard was supposed to go. The piece was never wrong. The room in the photo was.

We buy for the other kind of room. Small ones. Rented ones. The corner nothing ever fits. The hallway that gets no daylight. The wall you have walked past for two years without doing anything about.

How we choose

Our catalogue is deliberately small. Every piece has to earn its place against three questions.

Does it work in a real room? We favour lamps that plug into an existing socket over anything needing an electrician, and mirrors and wall pieces that make a dim room feel bigger rather than just filling space.

Will you still like it in two years? We skip whatever is peaking on social media this month. Shapes and materials that were good ten years ago tend to still be good in ten more.

Can we describe it honestly? If we cannot tell you the materials, the dimensions and how to care for it, we do not list it. Every product page carries all three, plus five real questions answered about that specific product.

How we write about products

No invented reviews. No countdown timers. No fake stock warnings. If a page tells you something, it is either true or it is not on the page.

We would rather you skip a product because the dimensions do not work than buy it and be disappointed. A return costs us both more than an honest description would have.

Shipping and support

Shipping is free on every order within the United States, with no minimum. We do not ship internationally at this time. Returns are open for 30 days. When you email us, a person reads it and replies within 24 to 48 hours.
